Falcon Theatre“™s “œBat Boy“ Earns 4 Star LCT Rating

Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized the Falcon Theatre“™s production of Bat Boy with a 4 Star Rating.

Bat Boy is the off-beat musical ripped from the tabloid headlines, at times hilarious and at times touching, of a boy raised by bats and his struggle for humanity.

Panelists called the show “œa bizarre, poignant, satirical, thoughtful and funny show full of a “˜bat-tery“™ of jokes and clever lyrics.“ Lead actor Robert Breslin, who played Edgar, the Bat Boy, was praised: “œhis physicality and bat mannerisms were spot dead on; he deftly took his character through all the stages of the process of going from bat to boy.“ The entire ensemble was commended: “œterrific“¦they really nailed the hysteria of this small town.“

Bat Boy continues through May 31st. Tickets can be purchased at www.falcontheater.net.

League of Cincinnati Theatre panelists evaluate productions on a 5 star scale and recommend shows at either a 4 star or 5 star level. Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT gala in the spring.
