Ensemble Theatre’s “Good People” Earns LCT Recommendation

Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati“™s “œGood People“ as a recommended production.

This regional premiere of a work by Pulitzer Prize winning writer David Lindsay-Abaire  explores the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakeable hopes that come with having next to nothing in America. Laid off from her job at the dollar store in South Boston, Margie Walsh goes to seek out the one who got away“”both from “œSouthie“ and from her. Instead, she finds herself in the “˜burbs and out of her element, facing the question: is opportunity granted or earned?

Panelists praised the production as “œrelevant to our time“, “œmoving“, and “œincisive“. One commented, “œAll of the elements in this production – technical, acting, staging – worked perfectly.“

“œGood People“ continues through September 23rd. Tickets can be purchased at www.ensemblecincinnati.org.

Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
