Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized lead actor Matt Dentino, choreographer Kate Glasheen, and costume designer Caren Young for their contributions to Covedale Theatre“™s Will Rogers Follies.
The Will Rogers Follies is the Tony award winning musical that chronicles the life of Will Rogers, one of America“™s most beloved humorists, entertainers, and pundits, who captivated the country with his common sense wisdom.
Panelists were enamored of Matt Dentino“™s performance as Will Rogers: “œMatt Dentino delivers as the homespun, nonchalant and witty title character“¦full of charm and talent“¦He made me believe he WAS Rogers.“ Of Caren Young“™s costume design, panelists wrote: “œLavish designs with thoughtful color coordination“¦This was supposed to be a Ziegfeld Follies, and the costumes for the 13-member chorus measured up. The variety was impressive.“ Finally, Kate Glasheen“™s choreography was highly praised: “œfast-paced, complicated, and perfectly executed.“

Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT party in the summer.
