Covedale“™s “œBroadway Bound“ Earns LCT Recommendation

Covedale Broadaway Bound ImagePanelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized Covedale Center for the Performing Arts“™ Broadway Bound with an LCT nomination for lead actress (Tracy Schoster) as well as distinguishing it as a recommended production.

Part three of Neil Simon’s acclaimed autobiographical trilogy finds Eugene and his older brother Stanley trying to break into the world of show business as professional comedy writers while coping with their parents break-up and eventual divorce.  When their material is broadcast on the radio for the first time, the family is upset to hear a thinly-veiled portrait of themselves played for laughs.

Panelists praised Tracy Schoster“™s performance as Kate Jerome as “œcompelling“, appreciating “the combination of intensity and vulnerability she brought to that part.“ The play as whole was described as “œa great evening“, full of “œorganic and three-dimensional characters.“

Broadway Bound continues through February 17th. Tickets can be purchased at www.cincinnatilandmarkproductions.com/ccpa.

Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
