Cincinnati Shakespeare Company“™s “œTwo Noble Kinsmen“ Earns 4 Star LCT Rating

CSCTwoNobleKinsmenImagePanelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company“™s production of the Two Noble Kinsmen with a 4 Star Rating.

With Two Noble Kinsmen, a tale of two cousins imprisoned during war who both fall for the same woman, CSC “œcompletes the canon“ and becomes one of only five Shakespeare companies in the country to produce all 38 of Shakespeare“™s plays. Panelists praised the play as “œexciting and refreshing“; a “œbold“ production that “œany Shakespeare aficionado would not want to miss.“ Andrew Hungerford“™s lighting design was commended “œas very effective in creating mood with the use of multiple colors to backlight the action.“ Singled out among the actors was Miranda McGee, as “œthe gaoler“™s daughter“; she was “œradiant“ in her performance and “œowned the text with mastery and created a memorable character.“

League of Cincinnati Theatre panelists evaluate productions on a 5 star scale and recommend shows at either a 4 star or 5 star level. Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT gala in the spring.
